Volunteer

The Sachse Band Boosters is a volunteer organization. Therefore, whether you can help with one game, one practice, or all of them, WE NEED YOUR HELP!

If you would like to be a Volunteer, you MUST be approved BEFORE you can participate in activities.

In order to be approved to be a volunteer, please complete the GISD Volunteer Background Check Online Application.

Field Props

As Needed During the Season

  • Attend prop parties to build and refinish props for competition

  • Loading/Unloading/Pushing onto the field

    • Need assistance with props at all events, including Tuesday night practices, games, and competitions

  • Build up at events

    • All hands on deck

    • The amount of people required is not definite, just a big number

Box Trucks and Equipment Trailers

Box Trucks

  • Tuesday night stadium practice; Football Games;  Competitions

  • District Requirements: Drug testing and driver's license check

Equipment Trailers

  • We have two trailers we pull to each event.

  • Contains merchandise, uniforms, electronic equipment

Chaperone for Events

This person will ride the bus with students, taking accountability and reporting to direct via Google Forms. Ride to and from events on the bus. Reports any issues to Directors. You will get FREE admission into the football games.  During competitions, we will feed you!

  • Football Games

    •  Thursday and Friday night games

  • Competitions

    • Midland, Mesquite, Prosper, San Antonio

    • Primarily during Bandtober

Hospitality

Serve Food 

  • Friday Football Game (Jason’s Deli)

    • Recurring each game day to help pass out food

  • Lunches, Dinner, and Cookouts

    • As they come about

    • Serve students and pass out food 

  • Traveling

    • BOA Trips as Chaperone and help feed 

  • Band Banquet 

    • Decorate, Organize, etc 

    • Set up/Clean Up 

Medical Response

  • Assist our volunteer nurses

  • Football Games, Competitions, and Special Events

  • * Medical Credentials Required *

Uniforms

  • Finish Uniform Fittings

  • Iron Bibs (need volunteers with irons and ironing boards)

  • Assist with scanning and labeling uniforms
